Privacy policy

Scope of This Policy

Element Flows sells electric fireplaces and water features online, and in doing that we receive some personal information from the people who visit and buy. This page explains what that information is, what we do with it, who else may see it and what you can ask us to do about it. By using the store you agree to the practices described here.

Information You Provide

Placing an order, creating an account or sending us a message may involve giving us:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • The delivery and mailing address for your order
  • A phone number
  • Your billing address

Information Collected Automatically

When you browse, our systems can record some technical details without you entering anything:

  • IP address
  • Browser name and version
  • Operating system
  • The pages you open and how long you stay on them
  • The website that sent you to us
  • Details of the device you are using

Card and Payment Data

Card numbers and other billing details go straight into checkout, where PCI-compliant third-party payment providers process them. We never hold your full card number on our servers.

How the Information Is Used

We use what we collect to:

  • Process orders and arrange delivery of your fireplace or water feature
  • Reply to questions and help after a purchase
  • Send order confirmations, shipping updates and account notices
  • Send occasional offers and product news, which you can turn off whenever you like
  • Spot and stop fraud or unauthorized activity
  • Comply with the laws and regulations that apply to us

When Information Is Shared

Element Flows does not sell personal data. It leaves our team only in the cases below:

  • Service Providers: payment processors, parcel and freight carriers, email services and analytics tools get the data they need for their part of the job and nothing more.
  • Legal Requests: we may disclose information where the law, a subpoena or a government request requires it, or where it is reasonably needed to protect our rights or the safety of you or others.
  • Business Changes: if Element Flows is involved in a merger, an acquisition or a sale of assets, personal data may be transferred as part of it.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file saved on your device when you visit a website. We use cookies and similar tools to keep your session working, understand how the store is used and tailor what you see. They fall into three types:

  • Essential Cookies: keep basic functions such as the cart and sign-in working.
  • Performance Cookies: show us how visitors use the store so we can improve it.
  • Marketing Cookies: help us show relevant ads and measure how campaigns perform.

You can change or block cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the store may not work as well without them.

Keeping Your Data Secure

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against unauthorized access, change, disclosure or loss, including:

  • SSL encryption on pages that send personal data
  • Payments handled by PCI-compliant third-party processors
  • Regular security reviews and continuous monitoring of our systems
  • Access to personal data limited to staff who need it for their work

Even so, no method of sending data over the Internet is completely secure, and we cannot say that protection is absolute.

Your Rights and Choices

You can ask us for any of the following:

  • Access: a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: changes to details that are wrong or out of date.
  • Deletion: removal of your data, within any limits set by law.
  • Opt-Out: no more marketing emails, using the "unsubscribe" link in any message or by writing to us.
  • Portability: your data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

Send any of these requests to support@elementflows.com. Questions about a return or a particular order are answered in our Refund & Return Policy and Shipping Policy.

Retention

Personal information is kept only as long as it is needed for the purposes on this page, or for longer where the law requires. Order and billing records are kept to meet tax, accounting and audit requirements. When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

International Transfers

Your information may be moved to, stored in and processed in a country other than the one you live in, in line with the data protection laws that apply. Using the store means you agree to your data being transferred to the United States, where our servers are located.

Children

The store is meant for adults and is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If we learn that a child's data has reached us without proper consent, we delete it promptly. If you think a child has given us personal information, please let us know at support@elementflows.com.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when our services, our technology or the law changes. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised, so it is worth checking back from time to time. If you keep using the store after an update, you accept the new version. Please contact us if any change raises a question.
