Bromic Eclipse Smart-Heat Freestanding Outdoor Heater
SKU: BH0820001
- Heat output 2900W with 33%, 66% and 100% settings
Overview
The Eclipse Smart-Heat Freestanding mounts the Eclipse heater head on a tall arched arm and a weighted base, so a patio gets heat and light without a ceiling to hang from. The matte black head has a radial ceramic screen with a warm white LED ring around its rim.
It plugs in through a 15 foot cable, rolls on two wheels when two people move it and weighs 383 lb complete, which keeps it steady. Bromic lists a dimmer controller and remote with it, and the heater also works with the Bromic Heating app.

Features
An arched arm instead of a ceiling
A swan-neck arm lifts the head over the seating from a base on the ground. There is nothing to fix overhead, so it suits terraces, courtyards and rooftops where a ceiling or pergola is missing or too high.

Weighted base with wheels
Ten 22 lb weights sit in the base, bringing the whole heater to 383 lb. Two people can tilt it forward onto its two front wheels, roll it to a new spot and pivot it there, with the weights left in place. In winds above 20 mph, bolt the base down or put the heater away.

Heat and light you can dim
Heat comes in three steps, 33%, 66% and 100% of 2900W. The LED ring gives 216.6 lumens of warm white light at 3000K, adjustable from 50% to 100% and then in 1% steps on the remote.

About 121 square feet of warmth
One heater covers roughly 121 square feet. Bromic lists a minimum floor clearance of 79 inches and asks for 3.3 feet of open space in front of the head, with heat-sensitive furniture kept at least that far away.
Phone, voice or remote
The heater is app-enabled, so heat and light can be set from the Bromic Heating app once it is connected, with scheduling and zones over Wi-Fi. The manual also explains how to link it to Amazon Alexa and Google Home for voice control, and Bromic supplies a remote for adjusting it from your seat.

FAQ
Does it plug in?
Yes. The 15 foot cord ends in a NEMA 6-20P plug, so it needs a grounded 220-240V, 20A outlet of the NEMA 6-20R type, and Bromic offers no adapter. The manual still requires installation by a licensed electrical contractor and asks for IP54-rated outdoor outlets so the heater keeps its water rating.
Can I move it once it is set up?
Yes, with two people. Unplug it, keep all ten weights in the base and tilt it forward onto the two front wheels to roll it. Protect the floor first, and never roll it over the power cable.
What does it stand on?
A flat, firm surface that can carry at least 350 lb. Grass, mud and dirt are not suitable.
Can it stay out in the rain?
The heater is rated IP54, but Bromic advises placing it under cover. When it is not in use, unplug it and store it away from sun and rain.
How is it delivered?
It arrives in three boxes. The base crate weighs more than 330 lb, and Bromic's manual calls for a forklift to move it before it is opened. Two people are needed to put the arm and head together.
What do I need to run it from my phone?
A phone or tablet with Bluetooth 4.2 and Android 8.1 or iOS 14.3 or newer, the Bromic Heating app and an email address for the account. For Wi-Fi control you also need a 2.4GHz network.
