Bromic Platinum Smart-Heat Electric Marine Outdoor Heater
SKU: BH0320023
- Heat output 2300W, 3400W or 4500W
Overview
Salt air is hard on ordinary stainless steel, so Bromic built a seaside version of its slim Platinum heater. The Platinum Smart-Heat Electric Marine uses 316 marine-grade stainless steel, a fully enclosed body and a sealed element compartment, with a tinted glass-ceramic face that wipes clean.
Pick black or white, then 2300W, 3400W or 4500W to suit the seating area, in 208V or 220-240V. It mounts on a wall, hangs from the ceiling or recesses flush, and Bromic backs it for 5 years on land-based installations.
What's Included
- Platinum Smart-Heat Electric Marine heater in the color, output and voltage you choose

Features
316 stainless steel for salt air
Near the sea, corrosion sets in faster and standard stainless steel can rust. This version replaces the 304 stainless of the regular Platinum with brushed 316 marine-grade stainless, chosen for coastal air.

Sealed from the inside out
The body is fully enclosed, and the thin-film element sits in a sealed compartment of its own. Bromic's manual rates the marine grade IPX5, but only when it is fitted with the sealed bracket covers and cable gland and wired through IP55-rated switches and conduit fittings.

Bracket, pole or flush recess
Fix it to a wall on the supplied bracket, which angles the heater up to 30 degrees either way, or hang it from a ceiling pole. For a flush finish, use a recess kit: the standard kit needs 10 inches above the heater (13.8 inches for the 4500W), and a low clearance kit suits tighter cavities. Bromic also makes recess kits and suspension tubes in 316 stainless to match.

Care that suits a coastal site
Bromic asks for the housing to be inspected and cleaned at least once a month, and more often in coastal conditions. Wipe off salt spray promptly, and have a qualified technician check for corroded areas each month.

Sized for the seating area
The 2300W heater warms roughly 65 square feet, the 3400W about 108 and the 4500W about 143. Leave at least 20 inches between neighboring heaters, edge to edge, and about 39 inches of clear space in front of each.

Simple or smart control
An Affinity On/Off controller switches the heater at full power, an Affinity Dimmer adjusts the output in 1% steps from the Bromic Heating app and a Manual Wall Switch keeps things basic. Several heaters can share one switch as a heat zone. Controllers are sold separately.

FAQ
How is it different from the standard Platinum Smart-Heat Electric?
Output, sizes and mounting match the standard heater. The changes are 316 stainless steel in place of 304, an IPX5 water rating against IPX4 for the standard model, and a longer warranty on land-based installations: 5 years against 3.
Can it be installed on a boat?
No. Bromic's US instruction manual approves the Marine model for land-based and coastal installations only and says it must not be fitted to marine craft.
Can it sit in the rain?
Bromic advises mounting it under cover, away from direct rain and salt mist, so the finish keeps its looks. The IPX5 rating covers low-pressure water jets when the sealed covers, cable gland and IP55-rated parts are fitted.
Who installs it?
A licensed electrician must install and wire it to local codes. To keep the IPX5 rating on marine installations, the manual calls for IP55-rated switches and conduit fittings, so share that with your installer.
Does it come with a controller?
No, controls are a separate purchase. Tell us whether you want on and off only, dimming or a plain wall switch, and we can add the matching one to your order.
Which size and voltage should I choose?
Match the output to the area: 2300W for about 65 square feet, 3400W for 108 or 4500W for 143. Then choose 208V or 220-240V to match the supply your electrician will provide.
