Bromic Platinum Smart-Heat Electric Outdoor Heater
SKU: BH0320019
- Heat output 2300W, 3400W or 4500W
Overview
The Platinum Smart-Heat Electric is an ultra-slim built-in heater for covered patios, verandas and outdoor rooms where the heater should all but disappear. A 304 stainless steel body and a tinted Schott glass-ceramic face keep the visible glow low, so the space warms up without a bright bar of light overhead.
Choose black or white, then 2300W, 3400W or 4500W to suit the area, from about 65 to 143 square feet per heater. Mount it on a wall, hang it from the ceiling on the included 8 inch pole, or set it flush into the ceiling with a Bromic recess kit.
What's Included
- Platinum Smart-Heat Electric heater in your chosen color, output and voltage
- Standard mounting bracket with an 8 inch stainless steel pole for wall or ceiling mounting
- Bromic instruction manual
Bromic film of the Platinum Smart-Heat Electric heater.
Features
Low profile, low glow
The slim stainless steel body sits close to the ceiling or wall, and the tinted glass-ceramic face keeps visible light to a minimum. Guests feel the warmth without a glowing red bar in their eyeline.

Wall, ceiling or flush mounted
Each heater comes with a standard bracket and an 8 inch stainless steel pole for wall or ceiling mounting. For a flush finish, set it into the ceiling with the Bromic Standard Recess Kit, or with the Low Clearance Recess Kit when there is less than 10 inches of space above the heater (13.8 inches for the 4500W model).

Suits modest ceiling heights
The minimum mounting height is 72 inches above the floor on a wall and 96 inches on a ceiling, which opens up verandas, loggias and pergolas that are too low for many heaters.

Sized to the space
Pick 2300W for roughly 65 square feet, 3400W for about 108 square feet or 4500W for about 143 square feet per heater. Longer terraces simply use more heaters, spaced along the seating.

Warms people, not the air
Infrared heat warms people, furniture and floors directly, much like sunshine, instead of heating air that drifts away. It gives off no fumes, so there is no venting to plan.

Dim it, schedule it or keep it simple
Pair the heater with an Affinity On/Off or Affinity Dimmer controller and run it from the Bromic Heating app over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, with timers, schedules and dimming down to 1% steps on the dimmer. A Manual Wall Switch is the simple choice. Controllers are sold separately.

FAQ
Does the heater come with a controller?
No. The heater turns on from whichever control you pair it with: an Affinity On/Off or Affinity Dimmer controller, or the Manual Wall Switch. Each is sold separately and we can add the right one to your order.
Can I install it myself?
No. A licensed electrician needs to install and wire the heater to local electrical codes, following the clearances in the Bromic instruction manual.
Can it be used outside in the rain?
The sealed body is weather resistant, but Bromic recommends installing it under cover, away from direct rain, snow and salt spray. For coastal homes, choose the Platinum Smart-Heat Electric Marine, built from 316 stainless steel.
Does it need ventilation?
No. Electric infrared heat produces no gases, so it can also be used in enclosed patios, as long as the clearances in the instruction manual are met.
Which size do I need?
Start from the heat area: about 65, 108 or 143 square feet per heater for the 2300W, 3400W and 4500W models. Most covered spaces use several heaters along the seating, and we are happy to help plan the layout.
Which voltage should I choose?
Choose the voltage your electrician will supply at the heater. Every color and size is offered in both 208V and 220-240V versions.
